Il Colombaiolo is a family-run, working farm nestled in 30 hectares of land that is planted in olive groves, vineyards, grain, lawns and a vegetable garden. The farmhouse itself dates from the 15th century and has been recently restructured, providing guests with every comfort while they relax in the beauty of nature. Guests have the opportunity to observe at close hand the various activities of a working farm, including sowing, and harvesting of grapes and wheat. They are also welcome to assist the owners in harvesting the olives from which they produce an excellent, extra-virgin olive oil that is for sale at the farm. In addition, the Agriturismo is located in a natural reserve where guests may encounter pheasants, hare, various types of birds and deer, as well as the farm animals ­ hens, cockerels, plovers, turkeys, ducks, geese and the friendly farm dogs. At Il Colombaiolo it’s possible to take leisurely walks far away from road traffic, or simply pass relaxing moments stretched out by the pond, surrounded by lush, natural vegetation. Breakfast is included as well as the weekly change of bed linens, change of towels and kitchen linens as needed water and electricity and weekly cleaning. To pay in place, if requested are: washing machine, dishwasher, electric convection oven, clothes iron. Telephone, heating and daily cleaning. Check in from 3 p.m. It is necessary to arrive not later than 8 p.m. Later arrivals should be communicated. Check out not later than 10 a.m.7 nigh minimum stay in the apartments.

The Agriturismo offers an apartment of about 100 mq composed by two rooms with a wonderful view, one on the Val d’Orcia and the other on the Amiata Mountain, for a total of 4 seats to which on request we can add 2 beds in the double bedroom; tv sat; a bathroom with shadow ,bath and hairdryer; well equipped kitchen with refrigerator with freezer compartment, stove with gas and electric burner; living room with wood stove with wood for burning, fans, and large entrance wit tourist information. Large opened spaces with chairs, deckchairs, garden-tables and large equipped terrace.

The Agriturismo Il Colombaiolo is located 500 meters from Pienza, the village of Pius the Second, along the road that leads to the Val d’Orcia, and 400 meters from the church Pieve di Corsignano. (Both Pienza and the Val d’Orcia are inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List) The farm is perfectly situated to offer its guests a panoramic view of Pienza and the Val d’Orcia, against the backdrop of Monte Amiata, and the villages of Radicofani, Castiglione d’Orcia, San Quirico d’Orcia, Montalcino and Monticchiello. Siena and Arezzo are at about 50 km, while to reach Florence you will take about 1hour and half, 1 hour to Perugia and 2 to Rome.
